Duties of Committee People:

·       Provide grassroots support for Republican candidates at the local, county, state, and national level.

·       Provide a forum for Republican candidates to address the issues.

·       Promote Republican principles and issues in the community.

·       Recruit candidates for Plum Council, School Board, and the Committee.

·       Provide campaign strategy and assistance to candidates running for local office.

·       Recruit campaign workers for candidates from among the voters.

·       Assist in fund-raising activities for local Republican candidates in Plum Borough.

·       Distribute campaign literature and inform the voters about the candidates and issues involved in an approaching election.

·       Make phone calls and canvass voters on behalf of candidates prior to an election.

·       Distribute and set up campaign signs prior to elections and remove them afterwards.

·       Set up poll poster boards and dispense literature to voters at the district poll locations.

·       Provide transportation and assistance to the polls for the elderly and the handicapped.

·       Serve as poll watchers and witness the vote count after the polls have closed.

·       Provide absentee ballots to those who need them.

·       Promote voter registration.

·       Vote for the officers of the Republican Committee of Allegheny County (RCAC).

·       Vote for RCAC endorsements of candidates prior to Primary Elections.
